SUBMISSION POLICY
Samson Projects is not actively looking for additional artists to represent or exhibit, however we do review unsolicited documents all the time and sometimes opportunities arise.
DO NOT send images via email or ask us to view your website. On a cd: at most 20 images and/or one small catalogue; best if works from several years are included.
All images should be labeled with your name, title, date, medium and dimensions. Brief bibliography info only; no reviews; brief statements are optional.
A Self-addressed, stamped envelope for return; NEVER A RETURN PACKAGE OVER ONE POUND.
Kindly review additional notes below.
The documents are reviewed by Samson Projects not in the presence of the artist and not during business hours. Comments are merely an opinion. Please be familiar with the art that is exhibited at Samson Projects.
Because somoeone suggested you send your documents to Samson Projects or because the gallery exhibits similar or related work are not necessarily reasons to expect an invitation to exhibit with the gallery or a studio visit.
The review allows the gallery the opportunity to become familiar with your work. Don’t expect an exhibition offer or a studio visit as a result of the initial viewing. Looking at work over three or four years prior to a studio visit is common.
Submitted images are viewed on a computer.
Never send original artworks.
Including a self-addressed and US stamped return envelope is necessary. If it is not included, your packet will be discarded.
We do not accept packages accompanied with international postage exchange vouchers as that requires Samson Proejcts to present the return mailing to the post office.
The weight of the filled return envelope must be less than one pound because postal regulations require packets of one pound or over to to be presented in person at the post office and we will not do that. Return packets weighing more than one pound will either be thrown away or only a portion will be returned.
Most documents are returned within three weeks with a brief note.
Please do not submit documents more than once a year, unless specifically requested to do so.
We try to be democratic about this process, so please do not request exceptions.
Thank you
