Samson Projects is excited to participate in the 3rd edition of CIRCA Puerto Rico '08, the 1st International Art Fair in the Caribbean.
Rune Olsen and Jeffrey Gibson take over the booth with new work.
Gibson's abstract & representative concerns will be present with 4 new paintings, a large sculpture and collage works on paper. Gibson has an upcoming solo exhibition at the Sala Diaz (San Antonio, TX) and a two-person exhibition at Dust Gallery (Las Vegas, NV). His work has recently been included in exhibitions at the Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum, Santa Barbara, CA, the Smithsonian Institution and the Newark Art Council.
Olsen continues his commentary on the lives of animals with 4 new sculptures: a free standing Cock Fight, a wall mounted version, Rattus Norvegicus (a self-portrait as the most successful rat) and more strife: Pigeon vs Rat. Olsen's work is currently included in the Tegnebiennalen, (The Drawing Biennial) at the Kunstnernes Hus (Oslo, Norway)
