Galia Eibenschutz (b. Mexico D.F. - 1970, lives and works in Mexico City) will exhibit ink drawings and an animation. Eibenschutz's animation work contraposes the moving image with the static image; incorporating the production process as a significant part of the drawing. She was recently the performer in Spider Galaxy by Carlos Amorales for Performa 07 (NYC) and the Museo Tamayo (México City). She had a solo exhibition at El Bodegón arte contemporáneo (Bogotá, Colombia) in 2007. Her works is included in the Jumex Collection (Ecatepec, Mexico).
José Carlos Martinat (b. Lima, Peru - 1974; lives and works in Lima) is creating a project based on domestic bombs and explosive-making in relation to an Incan myth about the rebellion of artifacts. In the myth, objects and weapons rebel and take the town prisoner. Martinat's work is included in Emergentes at Laboral Art and Industrial Creation Centre (Gijón, Spain) and has an upcoming project for the Museum of Contemporary Art (Lima, Peru). His work has been recently acquired for the collection of the Tate (UK).
Pablo Sigg (b. Mexico D.F. - 1974, lives and works in Mexico City) will present a series of works relating to the movie The Exorcist directed by William Friedkin. Sigg's work is constructed on the edge of work produced by others, establishing a system of links where the works refer to each other. His work was recently on view at VentoSul, the 4th Exibition of Latin American Visual Arts, (Curitiba, Brazil) and in
Doppelganger: Reality's Double at the Museum of Contemporary Art (Vigo, Spain).
